In simultaneous interpretation, the interpreters speak at the same time as the person they are interpreting: they listen to the message in one language and translate it orally into another in real time. In consecutive interpretation, the speaker and interpreter alternate, meaning that the process takes longer.

Interpreters work from a translation booth, which may be remote or set up at the event venue. The voice is transmitted via receivers or electronic devices. Receivers can transmit via radio frequency waves or infrared light (the latter is ideal for confidential events, as infrared rays don’t pass through walls). CM Idiomas offers the technological tools required for interpretation with channel selectors on the participants’ own computers or cell phones.

Technical translation encompasses texts on specific themes in particular industries that demand the specialized knowledge of a professional translator, such as manuals, product specifications, or process descriptions.
